BIOGRAPHY:
After finishing high school he enrolled to the study of philosophy and psychology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb which he completed in 1977. From 1977 to 1993 he worked at the psychiatric department of the Pula Medical centre as clinical psychologist. In 1981 he acquired the title of specialist of clinical psychology at the Department of Psychology of the University of Zagreb.

In 1990 he acquired the profession of supervisor of psychoanalytical psychotherapy by the School of Medicine of the University of Zagreb, while in 1996 he acquired the profession of supervisor of clinical psychology as part of the Section of clinical psychology - HPD. After completing his education in group analysis at the IGA - London in 1997 he became educator of group analysis at the Institute of group analysis in Zagreb. As the head of the Committee for scientific researches IGA - Zagreb, in 2001he motivated the international scientific conference "Motovun Days of Group Analysis" which has been organised every year ever since.

In 1993 he defended his thesis "The Role of Separation in the Process of Group Members' Individualisation" and became master of science in psychotherapy. In 2004 he defended the thesis "Sexual identity and Objective Relationship in Adolescents' Families" at the School of Medicine of the University of Rijeka and acquired the title of doctor of science in the area of psychiatry.

In 1994 he was employed at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Pula, University of Rijeka, as lecturer of Developmental psychology. During his employment he advanced to the scientific-teaching title of assistant professor (2014).
