BIOGRAPHY:
She was born in Pula. She worked as a classroom teacher (1991 - 2008). She was promoted to teacher mentor (2006) and she was the county leader for classroom teachers of the County of Istria (2006 - 2008). On 2 April 2012 in Zagreb she obtained the academic title of doctor of pedagogic sciences as part of the post graduate university study of pedagogy Curriculum of contemporary education and school by defending her doctoral dissertation Politics and practice of citizenship education in Europe and Croatia mentored by PhD Vedrana Spajić-Vrkaš. Since 2008 she has been working at the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula as a junior researcher - assistant and senior research assistant. In 2015 she became an assistant professor giving lectures in both the Croatian and Italian language. The field of her scientific research is didactics (curriculum), as well as citizenship and human rights education. She is the author and co-author of more than one specialist and scientific books and papers encompassing a wider area of pedagogy.

FUNCTIONS AND AWARDS:

1. Since 2007 she has been cooperating with the Profil International publishing corporation of Zagreb for which she created the science and social studies course book, while as a co-author she took part in the creation of the course book material for the subject Croatian language for pupils from the 1^st to the 4^th grade of primary school.
2. Since 2008 she has been a member of the Pietas Iulia scientific community
3. Since 2008 she has been a co-operator in the Ministry of Science, Education and Sport's scientific project Education for intercultural competencies
4. Since 2014 she is the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula representative at the foundation of the "Regional universities network" aimed at the cooperation in the field of education
5. Since 2014 she has been the member of the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula professional team which takes care of the syllabus
6. Since 2014 she has been the member of the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula professional team for the creation of learning outcomes in the Programme of acquiring pedagogic competencies
7. Since 2014 she has been the member of the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula team for the creation of the scientific strategy for the area of social sciences
8. Since 2015 she has been head of the Programme for acquiring pedagogic competencies
9. Since 2015 she has been member of the professional work group for the creation of the curriculum draft for the intercurricular theme Citizenship education part of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sport's Total Curriculum Reform
10. In 2010 she was awarded the Italian union scholarship for the improvement of her Italian language skills at the Università per stranieri di Perugia
