BIOGRAPHY:
He graduated at the Department of Music of the Faculty of Teacher Education in Pula in 1993. He completed his scientific master's study at the Department of Composition and Theory of the Music Academy in Ljubljana in 2012, in the class of professor Dušan Bavdek. In 2013 he started his doctoral studies at the same department and since 2014 he has been teaching at the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the University of Pula. He engages in Pedagogic work and cooperates with numerous children's music organisations, while his compositions have been performed both in Croatia and abroad. He writes and prepares compositions for various formations, among which choral and orchestral compositions, compositions for chamber music performers and soloists, music for theatre performances and animated movies. He is the author of a few scientific papers in which he deals with artistic music based on Istrian folklore idioms.
FUNCTIONS AND AWARDS:
- Member of the Croatian Musicians Union
- Member of the association for preserving the memory of Istrian Composers
- Twice awarded the prize for the best composition at the children's festival of spiritual composition "Iskrice"
