    Scientific activity

    The scientific activity of the Academy of Music is oriented to research into areas of art science: music education, music teaching methodology, music history, harmony, Istrian music tradition, and reproduction. This activity actually includes different music, music education and musicology forums, seminars and symposia with eminent musicians, pedagogues and researchers from Croatia and abroad. 

    Our participants are active at Croatian and foreign scientific meetings, congresses, conferences and symposia. They publish the results of their research into music, music-education, musicology and music theory issues in scientific monographs, books of proceedings and journals in Croatia and other countries. They are also the members of editorial boards of scientific journals, peer reviewers of books, papers, textbooks and CDs, leaders of research projects and associates in them. 

    Music education students, supervised by their teachers, publish articles in professional journals and books of proceedings, and help them organize music education and musicology events. They especially contributed to the establishment of the organization called the Music Education Student Forum.
